Let’s Gist- School Reopening 😍

Hi friend (Yes you read that, friend 🥰🥰), I know it’s been a while but did you see that beautiful design on my website? it’s beautiful yeah? Oh my God I’m blushing ☺️ I can refer you to the Guru behind it, just HTMU. Common let’s gist 😍 #SchoolReopening

This pandemic talk again 😭…. Jeez I’m so tired 🥺 when is it going ? For real I’m tired of this Corona virus, face mask, social distancing, I’m tired of everything just forcing everything because we can’t stay at home forever.

I know we are all down in the dumps, it’s been whirlwind of emotions but we still have to take responsibility and do the needful. Anyway, everyone has been talking about school reopening, you know they’ve lifted ban on interstate travel and then they have opened worship centres in some states, they opened market, though owanbe (Social gathering s) is still on hold, I’ve seen a lot of pictures 🙄

Therefore, what’s your take on school reopening during this Pandemic? Is it wise?

Well let me leave you guys to do the chit chat 😆😆😆

Here’s a Vox Pop 👇

“I don’t think school should be opened yet until Nigeria is corona free. Let’s assume this is a war, (which it is anyway, corona is an invisible enemy we are all fighting) would school be declared open?
Safety first. Besides children are more vulnerable to the virus. Schools should remain online for now.”

This is my view

I think schools should resume because we might never have Post COVID-19 as most people have generally assumed.

For me, COVID-19 is most likely to stay forever just like Ebola, Hiv/Aids, Malaria and the rest.

While opening schools might seem exposing students to COVID-19, we should also think of the consequence of having students grounded at home for months doing nothing. We just have to learn to live with it sincerely

Imagine if the front line workers contract this disease and die
what do you think is the fate of humanity?

And school is a major platform to create and train new front line workers, whether online or physical, whichever, I don’t think at any point we should put learning on pause

“Hmmm…I will really feel schools should reopen. Because the way this pandemic is going, we just have to definitely live with it. The new cases aren’t decreasing and the number of days students are spending at home doing nothing is also increasing.

But if schools want to resume, the federal government should make sure that all schools including tertiary institutions should comply with the safety measures. I mean the use of nose masks, hand sanister, hand wash and so on

Even if it means slashing the class into two in order to comply with the social distancing rule. At least, there is a way schools do it during examination periods

The federal government should ensure that each state is responsible for appointing health workers who will go to inspect a school regularly. Either weekly or every two weeks. And any defaulting school should face the penalty. This way, there will be progress

Rather than making students sit at home and do NOTHING. Okay, we have forward thinking youth but what about children? What about those that their parents are illiterate? Those that their parents are poor? These people don’t have the financial capability to employ a lesson teacher for their children or make them learn a skill.”

Prince Joel Oyeyiola❣️

“Reopening of school at this time is not a safe idea. At one end the Statistics is not getting any better, yet we still keep complaining of inadequate medical supplies. The responses by the government towards flattening this pandemic appears inadequate and to contemplate school reopening is to further worsening the situation. We cannot take one step forward and another five backward. It will amount to reversing the gains against the virus.”

Blessing❣️

“Its a gud one, inasmuch the students nd teachers are ready to adhere to the NCDC safety guidelines.
Besides we dont knw how long this pandemic has come to stay nd we cant forever lockdown schools, when d markets self are open…….The most important thing is the CONTAINMENT. “

Muftau Adewale❣️

“I think the decision was hurriedly made without wider and proper consultation with stakeholders. I was shocked to read from NMA and NUT condemning the sudden decision of the Federal Government. While most schools remain, I believe our schools are not well position for reopening. Enough of put the lives of young Nigerians at risk. “

Sharon❣️

“I don’t even know.
All I know is am tired.
But if its really real in Nigeria, I think all schools should still remain closed because its a big risk reopening schools with the figures they said we have in Nigeria.
It wont be funny if schools should open and stories that touch the heart begin to happen.”

Moprecious❣️

“Hnmm!

To me, all I will say is that they should open it back, because am tired of staying at home
For me o, remaining a semester to go which I would have finish now…… 😭😭
But apart from that, at least all higher institutions and secondary schools should be allow to resume, they are matured enough to differentiate between left and right. The school should provide the materials needed for washing of hands, sanitizer should be made available and all students must use the face masks properly

Even primary schools to some extent, it’s only the nursery pupils that might not be able to follow this rules for now
Since, we all move freely now, market, mosque and market has been open, no more interstate lockdown, the schools should be reopen as well
Courses that has large number of students can be split into two or conduct an online class if there can’t be social distance among the student…..
God forbid, if Schools are not reopened this year, we don’t know what might happened next year as well….. Which is likely to cause a great setback for Nigeria education sector”

Kenny❣️

“Hmmmmm… Regardless of all the satefy guidelines put in place. I don’t think it’s safe for pupils in primary classes and below. It will be hard for them to follow the laid down guidelines. Probably for students in high school, with strict monitoring.”

To be sincere, this COVID 19 is a trial from God. He alone knows when he will forgive us and relive us of it.

If other institutions can be opened, I see no reason for school getting locked.

The background of every research and development is school.

    Let them open oooo

Well to me reopen of school is very risky expectially for the children what will the children that cannot take care of themselve know about safety and if we want to reopen are the school ready to adhere to the rule and regulation. Some school are over crowded with small class room for the children. Yes we are going to live with covid but we need to wait for more drug that can substain it before we re open

Its just too risky at this time.
We should all remember that we can only attend schools if we are alive, our life is more important than any other thing.
So we most all do everything to remain alive through the grace of God.
At this junction that we are, life is more important than education.

Why must schools remain closed? All other areas have been eased except Educational sector. Even the so called Owanbe has come back to underground stage. There are over 2.4 million voters in Edo and over 1.8 million voters .The totaling of over 2.2million voters for the two states .

The candidates to be writing WAEC are 1.5 million candidates. Yet, the schools remain closed and elections hold.where the doors of schools remain closed ,the doors of prisons should be expected opened .

Hmmn, school should reopen. There are no answers to when the COVID thing would end so we have to manage to live with it… PRI, Sec schools shu comply with safety guidelines alongside tertiary institutions as much as they can. It’s only COVID, nothing Kore, we’d survive.

Schools re-opening: The truth is that schools aren’t prepared, in terms of fighting the pandemic, with the outlined measures from the NCDC et al. The fact is that, we can’t continue to stay at home, COVID-19 has come to stay. The sane reason Malaria, HIV exist, is what coronavirus would also be.
