I celebrated my birthday on 30/09/2024, which was one of my best yet! I had an amazing time, and I’m writing this post as a recap and a little gallery to share my birthday photoshoot with you all. It was a unique birthday celebration at home.
I love celebrations, especially milestones, and I’m so glad this particular birthday came without the usual birthday blues. Although it might seem like I’d been planning for ages, everything actually came together in a short period.
No, it wasn’t a big party, but here’s the gist of my unique birthday celebration at home! Maybe you’ll even get some birthday inspiration from mine.
Since the start of September, my husband has been making the month feel extra special, doing little things like stocking the house with my favorite drinks and other sweet gestures. It’s been so lovely. Then, he gave me birthday shopping money, which covered almost all of my birthday outfits. I had also set aside some funds, and together it made for a great shopping experience.
Before my birthday, we had a cosy Netflix and chill night at home, like a mini-watch party. We watched LISABI (I’ll share a review soon!), and we enjoyed catfish pepper soup, potato pottage, and chilled milk juice. It was such a beautiful night, and we cuddled up while watching the movie.
As if that wasn’t enough, my husband also got me a silver ticket to the Baba Alariya Show, which happened on the eve of my birthday. Earlier that day, after we came home from shopping and I was trying on my new outfits, he encouraged me to have a birthday photoshoot.
So, the day before my birthday, I went to Gplanet Studio for the shoot. I’ve been loyal to them since my maternity shoot, and they never disappoint. I even had the same makeup artist, and just look at my pictures, they turned out amazing! You can check them out G Planet
After the shoot, I met my husband and son at his workplace, and we headed to the Baba Alariya Show. I wore one of my new outfits and had such an amazing time! The comedy show was full of laughter, with different artists performing. There were plenty of drinks and snacks too. We got home late but happily tired, then we proceeded to have one of the most intimate nights everrr.
The next morning, my birthday, I woke up to a lovely breakfast curated by my man, small chops, a bento cake, and drinks. It was just the three of us(I, my husbandand my boy), celebrating and having the best time.
Of course, I wore one of my beautiful new outfits and felt peng all day! Since my birthday fell on a workday, I couldn’t go out until the evening. I was busy with work, but trust me, the day still felt special.
And guess what? I still have a post-birthday cinema date with my husband this weekend. We’re planning to watch The Farmer’s Bride, so stay tuned for a review!
A huge thank you to everyone for the gifts and money I received, your love made my birthday unforgettable! It feels like every day should be my birthday. Thank you Abu Jamil and my Cheeseball 🥰.
That’s a wrap! I hope you found a tip or two to make your next birthday (or your partner’s) memorable and you can a unique birthday celebration at home. Stay tuned for more birthday tips in another post. Thanks for reading! Bye!
